On the grounds of the Hunterdon County Justice Center at 65 Park Avenue in Flemington
Please join us as we bring together the public, members of the Judiciary and Court system , community leaders, local high school communities, along with members of the local bar to celebrate Law Day as an inclusive county event.
The festivities will begin with a formal program to recognize Law Day and the significance of this year’s theme, to honor the local mock trial teams, and to plant a tree, acknowledging that every tree is a vital part of nature and the earth’s ecosystem, symbolic of the way each and every part of our community is a vital part of the whole. The tree is also symbolic of the foundation needed before branches can grow and flower, just as our democracy, with the stated cornerstones of civics, civility and collaboration, is vital to the health and strength of our nation.
After the formal program concludes, those in attendance will have the opportunity to share refreshments and visit various educational booths set up under the Justice Center portico.
The Law Day program is cosponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation and made possible through funding from IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey.
